Finally! I ordered this beauty about half a year ago, just got delivered and I have installed it with some help of my good friend Marvin. Installing wasn’t hard and isn’t specifically a two-man job but it helps to have an extra pair of hands. Especially if those hands possess a great deal of strength to undo and redo nuts and bolts.Engine before K&NWe also replaced the distributor cap and rotor as the old ones were getting worn. After all bits and bobs were installed we reset the air-fuel ratio. Click here to see how to do that on a 6th generation Toyota Celica.Engine after K&NUpdate February 1, 2009:
I’ve been driving with this set-up for a few weeks now, had short, medium and long trips which gives a good overall impression. Gain in horsepower are minimal if there are any, but the sound is very nice. Even if it sound like Darth Vader with SARS on a cold morning. Throttle response has improved a little, although not every driver would notice the difference. In my opinion worth the money, especially if you plan to upgrade other engine parts (like exhaust, ignition etc.).
